Words from the Worthy Grand Matron:

Welcome to Mississippi’s website for our Grand Chapter of Order of Eastern Star. It is indeed an honor for me to serve as your Worthy Grand Matron for the 2015-2016 “Our  Amazing Stars” Session.

I began my journey in this beautiful Order on January 9, 1975, when I was initiated into Pearl Chapter #384, Pearl, Mississippi. I have served as Worthy Matron six times over these last 40 years as well as most other offices that can be held by a sister, including that of organist (I cannot play piano), I can push buttons on the CD player quite well. It has been an honor to serve as District Deputy Grand Matron for six Worthy Grand Matrons as well as, Grand Representative to North Dakota and Oregon. It was an honor and privilege to serve as Grand Ruth during the “Share A Dream of World Peace” Session  2010 – 2011.  I have had the pleasure of initiating many over the last four decades. My most memorable, being that of my husband in 2010. It is very true that you get out of OES, what you put into it.  Keep your enthusiasm alive by the lessons learned.  Share your enthusiasm and indeed, you will be one of “Our Amazing Stars”.
